Sam Buchanan jumped one of just four first round clears in the tough Young Rider Grand Prix riding his, 'Diamond B Vixen'.

Heidi Whalley from Birkdale in Queensland is pictured riding her, 'Awful Close' in the Junior Grand Prix and final Junior jumping class of the show.

Sophie Ahmat all the way from Mundijong in WA is pictured during the Junior Grand Prix riding her new Zealand bred, 'Mon Ami NZPH'.

Stephanie MacKillop and her wonderful Welsh Cob, 'Alcheringa Tradition' are colour co ordinated and very much in sync over this oxer during the Junior Grand Prix this morning. They jumped clear and four to finish fourth in the class.

Jessica Tripp is pictured aboard her super, 'Lovegrove' that jumped a double clear to take second place in the Junior Grand Prix this morning. On the strength of her good performances in the Junior Section, Jessica took out the Helen Rose Memorial Perpetual Trophy for Most Successful Junior Girl Rider. It was a great birthday present.

Lane Clarke from Bega has had a wonderful debut Sydney Royal appearance. Lane was place in all four of the Junior classes riding, 'GH Tiger Lily' and they won the Junior Grand Prix this morning. On the strength of his good performance, lane was awarded the Maurice Gordon Memorial Perpetual Trophy for Most Successful Boy Rider in the Junior jumping competition.

This pony is really flying. Melissa McVeagh is pictured on the move with her own and the Stenbury Pony Stud's 'Llangollen Top Notch' (Flowerdale Top Gun/Llangollen Camelia) that won the Four Years and Over Stallion class and was declared Champion Welsh Mountain Pony Stallion/Colt.

Megan Wansbrough is pictured stepping out with the Parlevliet, Bishop,Cooke and Stenbury Park nomination, 'Osory Good As Gold' (Shorebrooks However/Osory Porcelain) that was declared Reserve Champion Welsh Mountain Pony Stallion/Colt.

Pia Boileau rode the Yandoo Equestrian Services', 'Yandoo Drought' to take third place in the tough Junior Grand Prix this morning.

Jamie Priestley from Cambewarra in NSW is following a strong family tradition and is pictured making a lovely ,stylish jump aboard, 'KS Optimus' on their way to fifth place in the Junior Grand Prix this morning.

Mikhaila Tomlinson is pictured with the Carlingford Park Riding Ponies and Kayla Booth's,'Carlingford Park Indulgence' (Rosedale Tempting/C.P. In Vogue) that won the class for Riding Pony Mare Four Years and Over N.E.12.2hh.

Allan Dillingham's lovely , 'Highcroft Minuet' (Royalwood Boy Soprano/Highcroft Pennies From Heaven) won the class for Riding Pony Mare 12.2-13.2hh. Later in the day and ridden by Trina Crawford, Minuet was declared Champion Ridden Riding Pony.

Nathan Birrell did the honours with Suzy Stewart's ',Mandeley Lord Litchfield' (Turberry Tom Kitten/Fairley Tranquility) that won the class for Stallion Three Years and Under and went on to be declared Champion Riding Pony Stallion/Colt.

Andrew Hunt led his , 'Argyl Chorister' ( Fernleigh Fine Print/Kolbeach Song) to second place in the class for Riding Pony Stallion/Colt Three Years and Under.

Like Mother,like daughter. Kelly Slater's Mother , Sharon jumped the only double clear to win the World Cup Class last Wednesday and today Kelly rode her 'Silverton' to post the only double clear to win the Young Rider Grand Prix. The cool headed performance was all the more impressive, because this was Kelly's first appearance in the young Rider classes at Sydney.

Luke Stuart Smith did the honours with Cate Edwards', 'Woranora Sapphire' (Bamborough Sapphire/Woranora Crystal) that won the class for Welsh B Mare Four Years and Over.

Ruth Anderson's. lovely, 'Imperial Mona Lisa' (Eyarth Tigra/Trentlyn Marnie) won the broodmare class and went on to be declared Champion Mare and Supreme Champion Welsh B Exhibit.

Clint Beresford is a talented and successful young rider, Today he rode his , Emmaville Jitterbug' to take second place in the strong Young Rider Grand Prix. On the strength of his performances in the section, Clint was awarded the Robert and Joyce Brooks Trophy For Most Successful Rider in the Young Rider classes.

Craig Matthews rode the eye catching, 'Fifa La Viva' to take fifth place in the Young Rider Grand Prix today.

South Australian Young Rider, Nicole Bruggemann was a member of the Australian Young Rider Team that recently toured New Zealand and today she rode her , 'Marine' to take third place in the Young Rider Grand prix.

Michael Christie took out the 2013 Melbourne Summer Royal Supreme Led Riding Pony award and today, he led Edwina Cullen's, 'Royalwood Black Swan' (Royalwood Boy Soprano/Sun Smart) to also take out the Champion Riding Pony mare and Supreme Riding Pony award and with it the Willowcroft Stud Perpetual Trophy.

Tania Charters rode Ruth Anderson's, 'Bells Mountain Miami' (Imperial Paris/Bells Mountain Philadelphia) to claim the Ridden Partbred or APSB Riding Pony Championship.

Sheridan Hammet took out the Led Australian pony Stud Book Part Bred and APSB Riding Pony Led Championship with her, 'Hamlot Park Royal Quest' (Ascot Royal Tribute/Uhavta Miss Deception) and was later to claim the Reserve Ridden Championship.

David Smith led his own lovely, 'Imperial Boo Who' (Imperial Castaway/Imperial Bo Peep) to claim the Champion Mare and Supreme Champion Welsh Mountain Pony award. A little later the delightful mare took out the Nattai Perpetual Trophy for Best Welsh Pony In Hand.

Melissa McVeagh led the Hollydale Stud, Stenbury Park and Jo Bailey's nomination, 'Mithrin Chantilly Lace' (Nattai Sprig/Methrin Welsh Lace) to be declared Best Welsh Section C.

Lisa Jammall led Cate Edwards' 'Kenda Park Maxamillion' (Kenda Park Upbeat/Acheron Mari Dov) to be declared Best Welsh Section D.

Cherie Spinks stepped aboard Maddie Bathgate's, 'Acacia Park Evening Rose'(Gleniph Sovanity/Manning Park Trystin Rose) to take out the Best Ridden Palomino award.

Jessica Marnie rode the Argyl Stud's 'Argyl Royal Flush' (Kolbeach Royalty/Kolbeach Storybook) to win the class for Ridden Riding Pony M/G N. E. 12.2hh and go on to take out the Ridden Riding Pony Reserve Championship.

Isabelle Barker rode the Terry van Heythuysen and Zoe Griffet nomination, 'Buckwell Park Delusion' (Jackets Bluebird/Kokette Royal Promise) to win the class for Ridden Riding Pony Mare/Gelding 13.2-14.2hh.
