Kim Ide took out the Led Mare Four Years and Over class with her 2009 ASH Futurity entry, 'Chalani Dance' (Splashdance/Chalani Giselle). Chalani Dance won the Amateur Hack Section of the National Futurity for third overall place in the Amateur Futurity. Kim is pictured with presenter, and as it happens Kim's mother, Jeanette Gower representing The Investors Club. Chalani Dance went on to be declared Champion led Australian Stock Horse.
The Salisbury Hunt Club Number 1 Team comprising, Rebecca Wyatt, 'Ducky', Laura Johnson, 'Amy', Kate Brooks, 'Nick' and Anne Brooks riding, 'Rod' won the first round of the Castle Tavern Section Four Jumping competition.
The Fleurieu Hunt Club Ladies Team, comprising, Mary Crosby riding 'Paddy', Paula Byers aboard, 'Chetwyn Cane', Anna Lowrey with Bodie and Sarah Dawson riding, 'Georgie', took fourth place in the second round of the Castle Tavern Section Four competition.
The Strathalbyn State Emergency Team of , Shaye Williams, 'Snuffaluffagus', Raewyn Brownbill, 'Just and Illusion', Jake Thomas, 'Bentaj' and Tracey Murdock, 'Plain and Fancy' make a beautifully timed jump during the second round of the Castle Tavern Section Four Jumping competition. They took sixth place in both rounds.
The Penola Hunt Club Team, Tim Goodes, 'Top Draft Bundy', Jacquilene Foster, 'Steal The Title', Damien Hill, ' Tee Tree Penelope' and Rachel Childs, 'KGB' took fourth place in the first round of the Castle Tavern Section Four competition.
The Strathalbyn Hunt Club Team 2, Nicole Bruggemann, 'Lester', Kimberley Norris, 'Mezza', Rosalie Hoppen, 'Spook' and Jackie Aylesbury with 'Craigmore' took fourth place in the first round and won the second round of the Castle Tavern Section Fours to take out the overall competition. Re initiated last year, the ten teams to perform on the first day of the show represented an increase in number and quality.

The very well performed and very well known Australian Stock Horse stallion, 'Yallatup Regal Remedy' (Kirkby's Stud Remedy/Yallatup KC) won the class for ASH Stallion Four Years and Over. The horse, exhibited by Olivaylle P/L, and ridden by Cameron Strachn won the Working ASH class and went on to be declared Champion Australian Stock Horse Under Saddle..
Ian Fennell from Mount Gambier is pictured with his own and wife, Claire's winning Australian Stock Horse Gelding Four Years and Over, 'Boonderoo Timon' (Boonderoo Blackwood/Woodvale Diamond). The good moving horse proved his worth under saddle by going on to win the class for Australian Stock Horse Station Horse.

Chari- Lee Hoad from Uraidla rode her , 'Chalani Apollo' to win the class for Australian Stock Horse Hack. Earlier in the day, Chari-Lee won the award for Best Junior ASHLA.. At the end of the day of ASH judging, Chari-Lee took out the Reserve Champion ASH Under Saddle title with her delightful chestnut.
Claire Fennell from Mount Gambier had a super day with her own and husband Ian's mare, 'Koolatoo Beau Elle' (Wemen Kalyanka/Namloow Bea Jess). The mare was declared Reserve Champion Led Australian Stock Horse and later in the day Claire rode her to take out the ASHLA class.
