2013 Brisbane Royal Show

Gabby Wells took fourth place in the class for Girl Rider 12 AU 15 Years.

Hannah Giblin was second in the class for Girl Rider 12 AU 15 Years.

Nathan Cusack took out the Australian Stock Horse Gelding championship with his eye catching, 'Sevenangle Neon Moon' (Kirkby's Stud Omaha/Kemmis Creek Rebecca).

Lynne Wood looks very pleased with her Reserve Champion Australian Stock Horse Gelding, 'Yagoneya Gem Tech' (Glen Lee Rivoli Ray Tech/Willfull Jay Are). Lynne and the typey Ray Tech gelding went on to claim the ASHLA class.

Kaycee Wallan is having a great show. This morning she won the class for Girl Rider 15 AU 17 Years and went on top claim the Amanda and Thomas Edwards Senior Girl Rider Championship.

Annie Simmons took second place in the class for Girl Rider 15 AU 17 years.

Amylee Holborn-Quirk was third in the class for Girl Riders 15 AU 17 Years.

Melanie Welsh did the honours with the Allstars Australian Performance Horses', 'Glen Lee Rivoli Angelique' (Glen Lee Rivoli Mytech/Tequila Oz) that won the class for Australian Stock Horse Two Year Old Filly and was declared Best ASH Exhibit Two years and Under.

Brynie Lee came a long way from Eden Park in Victoria and impressed the Queenslanders with her riding ability. The 12 year old won the class for Girl Rider 12 AU 15 Years and went on to be declared Reserve Champion Senior Girl Rider.

Darby Humphries with the support of his mother, Therese Humphries won the class for Boy Rider Six and under Eight Years.

Dylan Fedrick , pictured with his mother, Rebecca Fedrick took second place in the class for Boy Rider Six AU Eight years and declared that he wanted to grow up and ride showjumpers like his dad.

Chantelle Layton from NSW claimed the Reserve Champion Led Australian Stock Horse Stallion Championship with her typey, 'Cunnoo Destiny's Blueprint' (Acres Destiny/Coominyah Remembrance).

Young riders need good ponies and Mia Plucknett has the best. She is pictured along with Kristy Bailey aboard 'Albie' of unknown age, but we suspect a "seniors pass". they are pictured during the class for Girl Rider 6 AU 8 Years.

Georgia Grimsey with mum, Michelle Grimsey along for support, won the class for Girl Riders 6 AU 8 Years on yet another good grey pony.

Taylah Noy, again with her mum, Dalaine Noy along for support took second place in the class for Girl Riders 6 AU 8 Years.

This happy couple are enjoying the 2013 Brisbane Royal Show. Amelia Waller doing the riding took seventh place in the class for Girl Riders 3 AU 6 years.

Clare Fedrick went one better than her brother Dylan and won the class for Girl Riders 3 AU 6 Years. Clare is another young rider supported by their mum, Rebecca, at what must be their first Brisbane Royal Show.

Georgia Cronin was thrilled to take second place in the class for Girl Riders 3 AU 6 Years.

Kristy Bruhn from South Australia, pictured aboard 'Jack' took second place in the Group A showjumping class today. The successful Grand Prix rider was also fourth riding Belcam Cosmic and fifth aboard her ex racehorse, Harbarty.

Well known and successful Queensland rider, Merrick Ubank opted to move his Group C horse, 'Alantinus' up to Group B. They are pictured making a lovely jump in the Group B class this afternoon. the showjumping entries are way down this year, due it is suggested to the Show entry requirements of Hendra vaccination.

Stuart Jenkins rode his Animare gelding, 'Fairview Animation' to win the first Group B class of the show.

Well known Queensland jumping rider, Tyrone Latham rode his , 'RSB Swift' to second place in the Group B class this afternoon. Groups A and B were combined in the first round today, with the Group B horses jumping off first and then the Group A horses over a further raised course. The classes will continue to be combined, with the Group B Horses jumping first. The course raised for the Group A horses which will constitute the size of the Group B jump off, with the Group A jump off raised further.

Billy Raymont's Thoroughbred, 'Stardom' looks a million dollars and jumped well today to take third placed in the Group A jump off class.

Ebonie Lee who continued the success of the Lee girls from Victoria went one better than her older sister today, by winning the class for Girl Rider 10 AU 12 Years and went on to claim the Junior Girl Rider Championship.

Grace Berry rode well to win the class for Girl Rider 8 AU 10 Years and claim the Champion Junior Girl Rider Reserve Championship.

L and BJ Young's 'Nasrullah Novatel' won the class for Open Non Hackney Pony Not Exceeding 12.2hh. The Harness classes, it has been suggested have also been affected by the mandatory Hendra vaccination, with numbers down on previous years..

Melissa Southern from Thallon in Queensland rode the Southern family's gelding, 'Altonvale Chatter' (Breena Talkback/Stranrae Serene) to take out the Working Australian Stock Horse Championship.

Scott Heidke rode his own and Ally Heidke's, 'Anncrouye Indiana' (Palmers Navaho/ Erin Park Strike) to win the Stallion class and take out the working Australian Stock Horse Reserve Championship.
