Ally Heidke's gelding, 'El Drago' (Hidden Dragon/Spun Gold) was declared Champion Thoroughbred In Training during the judging of the Led Thoroughbred classes that took up the EKKA arena, as is tradition on Tuesday morning.

The Wallzena Stud's, 'Meteoric Flame' (Meteoric Rise/Half Cup) won the class for Thoroughbred Stallion Three Years Old and Under Six Years.

Destined for the show ring, Sarah Adams' beautiful, 'Zabeauty' (Monashee Mountain/Brazeeliana) won the class for Thoroughbred Mare Four Years and Over 'that has started in a barrier trial or race within the past 12 months".

Vince Corvi and Terry Cowan's mare, 'Great Northern' (Dangerous/Golden Vine) has now claimed a hatrick of Supreme Led Thoroughbred awards at Brisbane. She is pictured with handler, Ally Heidke.

Linda Powell is pictured with the Powell and Anderson Family's beautiful, Champion Thoroughbred Stallion, 'Regal Banquet' by King's Best out of the Lunchtime mare, Vanity Time.

The Best Dressed Strappers, Sally George and Daniel Retschlag.

Chloe Ireland's, 'Glencoe In Paris' won the class for Thoroughbred Mare Under Saddle over 15hh.

Darryl Keir's , 'Filly In The City' took fifth place in the class for Thoroughbred Mare Under Saddle.

Well known showing identity, Nikki Jamieson took third place in the Thoroughbred Mare Under Saddle class with her, 'HM Attitude'.

The always fashionable Adam Oliver, rode the GC Equestrian and Janice Elliott's beautiful, 'High Fashion' to fourth place in the class for Thoroughbred Mare Under Saddle.

Ashley Harris is pictured aboard her own and Tyler Harris', 'The Pie' (racing name and she is out of Savoury Miss !) during the judging of the Thoroughbred Mare Under Saddle.

Daniel Retschlag performed a quick change and was back in the ring aboard his, 'Regal Boo' that took sixth place in the class for Thoroughbred Mare Under Saddle.

Amy Taylor took seventh place in the class for Thoroughbred Mare Under Saddle with her, 'Falvelani'.

Sadly once the led Thoroughbreds had been judged, the ring crew began dismantling the arena fence and the VIP marquees during the judging of this class. The activity was certainly disconcerting for the horses and above and beyond what is the usual Royal Show distraction and was discourteous to the competitors who had gone to great effort and expense to get to the show.

Lee Traynor's 'Hop Aboard' took sixth place in the class for Thoroughbred Gelding Under Saddle.

All the way from Victoria, Brittany Morris from Yarra Glen had a super day with Warren Coyle's, 'Only Cash' (Urgent Request/.Ibby Dibbs) that claimed the Led Thoroughbred Gelding Championship and went on to take out the class for Thoroughbred Gelding Under Saddle.

Ashley Christensen rode Partricia Arnold's lovely 'Hot Shot Henry' to take fifth place in the class for Thoroughbred Gelding Under Saddle.

Bridget Connolly is pictured aboard her, 'Sapphire' during the Junior Jumping jump off class this afternoon.

Courtney Hopkins rode her 'Sound Return' to take third place in the Junior jump off class this afternoon.

Sixteen year old Brooke Langbecker is dominating the Young Rider and Junior classes at the Ekka. Brooke, who began her Brisbane Royal competition in the Pony Ring is pictured aboard the imported gelding, 'Cumo Z' that took second place in the class today. Brooke won the Junior aboard her consistent, 'Alice's Wonderland'.

Angus Graham is pictured during the first round of the Junior jump off class this afternoon aboard his, 'Kia Creek'.

Heidi Whalley's horse is called, 'Mucho Mucho Deniro' and if that is the case, by the look of this jump, it was money well spent. They are pictured during the Junior Jumping class this afternoon.

Sarah Adams stepped aboard Andrea Brooks' wonderful, 'Bradman' to win the class for Open Lady Rider and be declared Champion Lady Rider.

Where there is a will there is a way. Alex Berwick, at Brisbane with partner, Billy Raymont, borrowed one of Billy's jumpers to contest the Lady Rider class. The 2012 Garryowen winner had to settle for second place riding Chironic Dominant Visage by Copabella Visage.

Lisa Jones produced a good workout including a lovely flying change to take third place in the class for Open Lady Rider.
