Leanne Donoghue kept her own and Charlotte Scott's, 'Flawless' in his stable after winning the Pope Cup yesterday. He came out today to contest the Hack Championship and very nearly made it by taking the Reserve Champion title.

Simon De Leeuw rode the McMahon/De Leeuw and Withers nomination, 'Willowcroft Regal Rhapsody' to fifth place in the class for Open Galloway 14.2-15hh.

Courtney Remington recently purchased, 'Paint The Stars Of Astral' from Sarah Adams. Courtney has obviously clicked with the typey grey, as on just their third ride together, they claimed fourth place in the class for Open Galloway 14.2-15hh.

Rachel Keskinen rode her 'Request' to win the John Lithgow Equestrienne Turnout,(riders 18-21) making it an impressive Garryowen/John Lithgow double for arguably the horse of the show. Request was also second in the Novice and Open Hack 15-15.2hh ridden by Darryl Hayes.

Successful showing identity, Marcia Bear rode her well performed, 'Kolbeach Circus' to win the class for Open Galloway 14-14.2hh.

Chanele Hunter rode Julie and Tom Luxton's beautiful worker, 'Malibu Park Stella' to take second place in the class for Open Galloway 14-14.2hh and second place in the Lady's Galloway.

Rosanne Mason from Launching Place in Victoria is pictured working out in the Esquire Equestrienne Turnout riding her, 'Kolbeach Magic'.

Rebecca Farran is on a roll with Cecily Cornish's, 'Barnoolut Remini' that took second place in the class for Open Show Hunter 14.2-15hh.

Julie Wende from Maiden Gully in Victoria rode her 'Invic Knowing' to fifth place in the class for Open Show Hunter 14.2-15hh.

Second yesterday in the Garryowen, Rebecca Groen from Werribee, rode her 'Gift' to win the Esquire Equestrian Turnout. Unlike the Garryowen, for the Esquire, the rider must own all she wears and what she rides.

Michael Christie is on a roll with Pam Ahern, Warren Coyle and Howard Morris' lovely 'Surely'. Declared Best Novice Hack last night, Surely won the class for Open Hack 16-16.2hh.

After a rather eventful first day, Scarlett Luscombe from Smythes Creek in Victoria rode her typey 'Supremacy' to take fifth place in the class for Open Hack 16-16.2hh.

Rebecca Farrow is operating under somewhat of a handicap this year without the help from her greatest supporter, her mother. Sadly Jan is sitting out the show with a broken leg; and yes it was a horse related accident. Rebecca is pictured with her 'Stage Lyric' that took third place in the class for Open Hack Over 16.2hh.

Kristen O'Connel from Whittlesea has only had her new horse, 'Elmdale Park Cosmopolitan' for two days and already she is placed at Melbourne Royal. They took sixth place in the class for Open Hack Over 16.2hh.

Chris Lawrie from Port Lincoln in South Australia won the Gentleman's Hack class with his , 'Black Tie'.

Well known, successful and popular showing identity, Bruce Flood has made a super comeback to the showring with his own and Maryanne Marshall's, 'DP Mayfair'. .Bruce has formed a happy partnership with the Dale Plumb produced horse, They won the Open 15.2-16hh and went on to claim the "Mac" Greaves Memorial Hack Championship

Brooke Jenkinson from Horsham continued on from her success at the recent Adelaide Royal by taking out the Show Hunter 15-16hh class with her, 'Pine Plains Lido', going on to be declared Reserve Champion Show Hunter Hack.

Rebecca Richards went all the Way from Best Novice to claim the Champion Show Hunter Hack Award with her mother, Bev Richards' Over 16hh class winner, 'Dymondz'..

Caroline Kuhn's, 'Mirinda Eyeliner' has clearly got in to the Championship groove. With Michael Christie in the saddle, the Adelaide Royal Champion Galloway won the Open 14.2-15hh class and went on to claim the Melbourne Championship.

Darryl Hayes rode Ashleigh Ried's successful, 'Wesswood Royal Caste', that is out of the famous Galloway mare, Royal Caste, to take fifth place in the class for Open Galloway 14-14.2hh and win the Gentleman's Galloway..

Jacqui Librio rode Sheona Lamb's well-performed , 'Lady In Red' to second place in the class for Open Galloway 14.2-15hh.

Karen Shaw rode her well performed, 'Interlude' to win the Show Hunter 14.2-15hh class and went on to take out the Show Hunter Galloway Championship.

Rhonda (Hunt) Strafford made the most of her Christmas gift, 'Christmas Day'. She rode the great working Galloway to win the Show Hunter 14-14.2hh class and went on to claim the Reserve Show Hunter Galloway Championship.

Rachel Addison rode her Adelaide Best Novice Hack, 'Boyfriend' to take second place in the class for Open Hack 15.2-16hh.

Abby Heffer from Wallan won the class for Girl Riders 12 and Under 14 years and went on to take out the Champion Girl Rider 12 and Under 15 Years Award.

Elizabeth Hoy from Nyngan in NSW won the class for Girl Riders 14 Years of Age and went on to take out the Reserve Girl Rider title.

Margot Haynes' homebred, 'Waterlily', by Fernleigh Fine Print out of a Thoroughbred mare has measured up from the Galloway classes. However, undeterred the typey and good working mare is making quite a name for herself as a Hack. Today she won the Open 15-15.2hh and the Lady's Hack class.
