Local rider, Megan Joyce riding her own Lady Invader had eight faults over the tight Young Rider track this morning.

Becky Allen and Koyuna Ted did not do so well in the small arena today in the Group A AM 5 but hopes their Adelaide Royal form returns tomorrow in the World Cup when they have more room and no heavy harness.

Chris Chugg started his two stallions HC, Vivant (pictured) and ASB Conquistador in the World Cup warm up class this morning.

Ross Carbury from Hollbrook NSW drove his and wife Miriam's Percheron, Bill, to be declared Champion Heavy/Medium Delivery Horse and go on to take out the Supreme Champion Delivery Horse and the Ken MacLean Memerial Trophy.

Allan Clarke drove Jika Farm Kilpatrick in the Heavy Delivery over 15hh. With the showjumping and the heary harness sharing the small arena neither really can show there best.

Lachlan Brennan from Flowerdale took second place in the Young Rider class riding his own Raylins Eliza.

Graham Burns drove his own Ben Koi Holbrook to fifth place in the in the Miscellaneous Turnout 4 Wheel Single Horse.

Tim Clarke rode two quick rounds in the Group B Table C riding Belcam Catalyst (pictured) and Caltango. However, he finished just out of the placings. Melbourne Royal does not have a Part 3 section like it had in the past.

Numbers in the heavy harness were well down this year, however the quality was still very good. Howard Moss from SA drove his and wife Susan's, Rosbercon Bess to sixth place in the Miscellaneous Turnout 4 Wheel Single Horse, John Patterson is acting as groom.

John Patterson drove Miss. J Lewin's, Willicepark Nicole to win the Light Delivery Horse not over 15hh and go on to take out the Champion Light Delivery Horse.

Ally Lamb rode her Penrose to second place in the Group B Table C.

Andrew Inglis rode his own and Cathy Spence's, Von Udex in the Group B Table C.

Wendy Schaeffer is proving very difficult to catch at this years Melbourne Royal. Wendy won the Group A yesterday (she did not start in the Group A today) but in the Group B she won on Koyuna Sun Shine (pictured) and took third place on her other mount Koyuna Sun Dancer. Jamie Coman rode Wendy's other horse Lord of the Sun for four place.

Steve Peters drove Mr. D Kefford's, Meadowvale Jackson to second place in the in the Miscellaneous Turnout 4 Wheel Single Horse. It was good to see Ron King back sitting proudly in the passagers seat after recovering from a stroke last year.

After showing at Melbourne Royal for over 50 years the Marriott Family were pleased to take out the Supreme Led Clysdale exhibit yesterday with Aarunga Flash Nicholas. Today Andrew Marriott drove Prince and Peter to third place in the Pair Of Heavy Delivery Horses.

The Foster's Australia nomination of Vic and Fosters won the Pair of Heavy delivery Horses.

Gemma Creighton from Qld had two minor placings in the Young Rider earlier in the day and the took second place in the Junior Table C riding Music Master.

Hard working Clydesdales enthusiast, Bill Mahncke was honoured with being awarded the Presidents Medal today for service to the RASV.

Toni Scattergood rode Dee Jay West to third place in the Junior Table C.

Amy Cleland riding her Grandfather Reg Cleland's, Jet Trail, easily clear the first fence in the Junior Table C.

Zoe Bolton riding Our Strike blitzed the opposition in the Junior Table C to win the class.

Mr G Fuller drove Debra Hatton's Derlwyn Lyric to win the Miscellaneous Turnout 2 Wheel Single Horse.

Michelle Lang-Mcmahon from Qld jumped a clear round riding Animate HC in the World Cup warm up event.

Tyrone Latham from Qld rode his own Mullberry Road to second place in the Group A AM5.

John Mullenger drove his Dominion Park Remington to take the Reserve Champion Single Turnout.

Brooke Dobbin rode his little horse with the big heart, GP Shine to jump the only clear round and win the Part 1 AM5.

Kirstie Ansell from Qld rode her well performed Top Secret to fourth place in the Young Rider this morning.

Nine riders contested the first Young Rider event this morning, with Rhys Stones and Wyndarra Phoebe winning the classs.

Shane Patterson drove Joe to win the Long Shaft Brake Turnout and go on to be declared Champion Single Turnout. Later in the day Shane and Joe took out the Reserve Champion Light Delivery Horse.

Morris Clarke rode Anne Bryant's cute, Contagous in the ten horse field in the Group A AM5.
