NCHA Cutting Futurity

Bob Johnston from Loomberah NSW rode Uncle Roy by Playboy Roy to score 139 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity for three year old horses at their first cutting contest, limited to horses ridden and owned by a non-professional. They are riding for a pay cheque of $20,000 for the winner.

Brian Elliott from Nandaly Vic. rode his own Duallin Fritz by Dually Cool to score 141 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity. A similar score tomorrow will place him in the 15 horse Non-Pro final.

Ross Hicks from Woodville NSW rode Smart Hickory Doc by Smart Little Scotty to score 132 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

Gabriel Densley from Colac Vic. rode Winderadeen Just Smart to score 134 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

After finishing mid field in the Open Futurity, Playing Artist by Playin Stylish USA was joined by his owner Peter Dun from Alton Downs Qld, to score 140 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

Randell Hornery from Moranbah in Central Qld rode Kehls Tassa Mania by Tassa Lena to score 132 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

Popular 2005 Non Pro winner Billy Neville from Baerami NSW rode Mia Kat by Intricotalena to score 143.5 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity and took a step closer to another Futurity title.

Max Turnbull from Boonah Qld rode Metro Girl by One Moore Playboy to score 133 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

After a couple of practice runs in the Open Futurity, Roger Eliott from Chinchilla Qld rode his Leadfoot Lucy by Freckles Fortissimo to improve his score with a 140 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

Jamie Vickery from Tamworth NSW rode Chances Baby Boonsmal by Freckles Fortissimo to score 132 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

2003 Non-Pro winner Ian Bush from Alpha Qld rode Sharon Bush's Stylish Doll to score 136 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity. This score was a little disappointing as this combination scored 143 and 142 to take a place in the Open Final.

Thomas Sheehan from Coolac NSW rode Lyrical Star by Spins Roc Star to score 135 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

Stuart Laurie from Beremboke Vic. rode the Playin To Style stallion, Smokin In Style to score 138 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

In 2003 Tom Williamson from Glen Innes NSW rode One Moore Playboy to win the Non-Pro Futurity. This year he rode a One Moore Playboy daughter One Moore Please to score 142 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

Hope Mitchell from Texas USA rode Jovial Jay by Docs Bon Jovi to score 136 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity. John Mitchell rode this horse in the Open Futurity to score 283 and sneek into the final in equal 20th place. However everone starts with 0 score in the final so anything can happen.

Pat Wall from Tamworth rode his and Karen O'Brien's Meg A Spin by Spins Image to Score 137 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

Wayne Baumann from Werris Creek NSW made an impressive start in in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity riding Docs Linkett by Docs Argyle, however a small mistake resulted in a 131 score.

Lookin Like Daddy by Dmac Daddy was ridden by Robert Mackay in the Open Futurity and looked impressive but could not put the scores on the board. Today Robert's wife Lori took the ride in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity, once again the horse started well but a mistake and a 133 score will keep them from the final.

2005 Non Pro Hall of Fame inductee Mark Buttsworth from Kingaroy Qld, put on an impressive display riding Almora Spinace by Acres Destiny to score 144 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

All the way from Katherine in the Northern Territory, Laurie Brown riding his Star Bar Fortynine by Proud To Be An Oakie was disappointed when he lost his cow and only achieved a 120 score in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

Eighteen year old Jamie Creek from Jerilderie NSW announced he was turning professional after this show but he was determined to leave his mark on the Non-Pro role of Honour with a 143.5 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity. This is after he placed tenth after the go-rounds in the Open Futurity.

Dan Want from Glen Innes NSW rode One Moore Minnie Mee by One Moore Playboy to score 138 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

Oaks Unchained Melody by Tassa Lena was ridden by Ian Francis in the Open Futurity and narrowly missed the final scoring 282 to finish in equal 21st place. Today owner, Raelene Higgins from Curlewis stepped aboard and looked fantastic at the start of the run but a lost cow resulted in a 120 score in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

Wayne Baumann from Werris Creek NSW rode Call Me Cowboy to score 120 in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

Marcus Berlyn from Sulky Vic. and Cdees Stacker by Bank Fulo Cdees looked impressive in the first round of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity. However USA judges Chubby Turner and Dan Popeck are tough on any techniqual faults and Marcus and Cdees Stacker only managed a 134.

Jason Leitch from Springsure Qld rode Eli Vogel's Dual N Spin by the well know sire of Reining horses Hootchy Kootchy Man to score 139 in the first round of the NCHA Open Derby for four year old horses.

Adam Wheeler from Yelarbon Qld rode the Paradise Pastoral Co. nomination of High Browns Jay by High Browns Doctor to score 142 in the first round of the NCHA Open Derby.

Scott Campbell from Tabletop NSW rode Gary Braid's Duntay Tanyas Weaving by Tanyas Freckles to score 143 and be in fifth place after the first round of the NCHA Open Derby.

Heath Sinclair from Bell Qld rode Cheryl Morton's Pepto Lena by Peptos Stylish Oak to score 137 in the first round of the NCHA Open Derby.

Dean Holden from Cobram Vic. rode the Copperwood Ranch nomination of Peptos My Pa by Peptos Stylish Oak to score 141 in the first round of the NCHA Open Derby.
