Travis Wetzler from Warwick Qld rode Rodney and Janet Wetzler's Docs Salute by Docs Spinifex to score 142.5 in the first round of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge and take overnight equal third place.

Ryan Fielden from Tarnett Vic. rode Hollys Playn by Playboy Roy to score 139 in the first round of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge. This class is for 5 and 6 year olds, owned and shown by a Non-Pro with a purse payout of $30,654.

Ray Holden from Bongegilla Vic. rode Crackin Freckles by Docs Crackin Oak to score 128 in the first round of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge.

James Inglis from Cobbitty NSW partnered Dara Ima Gunna by Oaks Cocoa Jay to score 139 in the first round of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge.

2005 Snaffle Bit Futurity winner James Bartels from Narre Warren Vic. joined forces with Docs Candlelight by Docs Argyle to score 136 in the first round of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge.

Trevor Jellicoe from Serpentine Western Australia made the most of his 2 and 1/2 minutes in the arena after traverling 5000 kms to compete in the first round of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge, with a score of 142 riding Rhondhu Solena Spin by Docs Spinifex.

Wayne Baumann from Werris Creek NSW rode Dee Bar Ias Blue by Lethal Lena, to score 140 in the first round of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge.

Peter Gray from Cootamundra NSW joined with Iscottalittlepep to score 138 in the first round of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge.

Allan Spencer from Comet Qld. rode the wonderful Playboy Roy mare, Plucka Duckling to score 141 in the first round of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge.

Darcy Twohill from Moura Qld rode the 2005 NCHA Futurity winner Gidgee Goals by Docs Spinifex to score 137 in the first round of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge. Five year old Gidge Goals, has career earnings of $78,911.

Peter Schmack from Muswellbrook NSW partnered his beautiful, imported stallion, Racketeer Cat by Highbrow Cat to score 143 and take overnight second place in the first round of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge. Racketeer Cat at five years of age has career earnings of $63,320.

Local Tamworth rider Chris Murphy stepped aboard Donna Hawkins Heza Little Jazzy to score 137 in the first round of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge.

2003 Snaffle Bit Futurity winner Michael Wilson from Gunnedah NSW rode Destiny Quest by Acres Destiny to be one of the favorites to take out the Barcode Direct Snaffle Bit Cutting Futurity after a first round score of 140.

Due to record entries in the Snaffle Bit Futurity an extra arena was constracted outside to cater for the go-rounds. The start of the event was delayed by an hour due to heavy over night rain, however with Tamworth in level five water restrictions no one was complaining. Here Karl Burton from Jondaryn Qld rides Loretta Finch's Docs Admiral by Sunshine Okie to score 135 in the first round of the Barcode Direct Snaffle Bit Cutting Futurity.

The Snaffle Bit Cutting Futurity is for 3 year old horses shown by riders with NCHA lifetime earnings of $20,000 or less. However, in this class horses are shown in a snaffle bit and riders can choose to ride in either a stock or western saddle and use two hands. Here Amelia Tonkin from Barraba NSW rode Erin Crackin Smartie to score 143 in the first go-round of the Barcode Direct Snaffle Bit Cutting Futurity.

Pam Stokes from Lancaster Vic. is often seen successfully competing at Reining competitions. However, today she joined forces with her own and Les Powells Vagas Playboy by Playboy Roy. Unfortunatley they lost their beast at the very end of the run which resulted in a 129 score in the first go-round of the Barcode Direct Snaffle Bit Cutting. Futurity

Brook Hazlett from Yarrawonga Vic. rode Olena Cash by Dox Cash O Lena to score 132 in the first go-round of the Barcode Direct Snaffle Bit Cutting. Futurity

Local rider Bindy Spreadborough rode SG Waylon by Swanky in the first go-round of the Barcode Direct Snaffle Bit Cutting. Futurity.

Robert Maxwell from Blacville NSW rode Delelvin Simmental's, MS Fortissimo by Freckles Fortissimo to score 128 in the first go-round of the Quest Apartments Non Pro Derby for 4 year old horses shown and owned by a non-pro with a total purse payout $40,480.

Mark Eckermann from Penola rode the enthusiastic stallion Ellomeek Tanna Lena by Tanyas Freckles in the first go-round of the Quest Apartments Non Pro Derby. A lost beast and an early retirement resulted in a 0 score.

John Breckelmans from Mt Tyson Qld rode his Okies Harmony by Proud To Be An Okie in the first go-round of the Quest Apartments Non Pro Derby. However Oakie Harmony after a good start seemed to forget that he was cutting rather than campdrafting and he was unfortunatly given 0 score.

Julie Sheedy from Glen Innes NSW started well with her Playin Checkers by Playin Stylish USA but a bright young steer won the contest and they received a 124 in the first go-round of the Quest Apartments Non Pro Derby.

Dual N Spin by Hootchy Kootchy Man was last year partnered with Jason Leitch to place third in the NCHA Open Futurity. This year Jason and Dual N Spin just missed out on a place in the Derby final after two good go-rounds. However joined by owner Eli Vogel from Clermont Qld this young stallion scored 141 in the first go-round of the Quest Apartments Non Pro Derby.

Leanne Gray from Finley NSW rode Stylish Pep by Peptos Stylish Oak to score 128 in the first go-round of the Quest Apartments Non Pro Derby.

Highest All Time Non Pro Money Earner, Lori Mackay with career earnings of $148,555 and 19c, rode her wonderful Acres Destiny gelding, Lookin For Acres to score 143 in the first go-round of the Quest Apartments Non Pro Derby.

Sue Williams from Red Range NSW rode Highly Spun by Highbrows Doctor to post the impressive score of 144 in the first go-round of the Quest Apartments Non Pro Derby.

Described in the local paper as "the horse whisperer rather than Whispering Jack", John Farnham looked to enjoy all of his 2 1/2 minutes of his exciting ride aboard Picola Fortissimo by Freckles Fortissimo in the first go-round of the Quest Apartments Non Pro Derby. The crowd also had fun with the eventful ride but the judges were not so impressed with a 120 score.

Here Dantays Tanya Weaving by Tanyas Freckles and owner/rider Gary Baird from Koo Wee Rup Vic. gives the young steer a menacing look during their 142 run in the first go-round of the Quest Apartments Non Pro Derby. Dantays Tanya Weaving and Scott Campbell have already booked their place in the Open Derby final.

Phil Dawson from Inverell NSW rode the the Tri Star Quarter Horse Stud nomination of Tri Star Short N Foxy to score 140 in the first go-round of the Quest Apartments Non Pro Derby.
