NCHA Cutting Futurity

Unfortunately Dean Holden from Cobram Vic, had problems with his saddle during his ride on Claus and Karen Thrun's 2006 NCHA Derby winner, Chickasha Hope by Acres Destiny. This forced a retirement during their performance in the Buffalo Ranch Australia Classic Challenge second go-round.

Dean Jones from Seymour Vic. rode Gary Braid's Tassablanca by Tassa Lena to score 138 and 132 in the go-rounds of the Buffalo Ranch Australia Classic Challenge.

It is difficult to believe that a horse could posses the supplement and lightness of a cat, but Royal Blue Boonsmal (Imp) took on all those wonderful qualities during a 147 performance in the Buffalo Ranch Australia Classic Challenge second go-round. Ridden by Denise MacCallum-Campey for Chances Lodge, Royal Blue Boonsmal now moves into tomorrow's final with a total of 287.

Phil Dawson from Inverell NSW put together two good runs aboard Graham Ross's Peptos Bonita Two by Peptos Stylish Oak, to move into the final of the Buffalo Ranch Australia Classic Challenge with a score of 285.

Scott Campbell from Tabletop NSW rode Dianne Bennett's Turpentine Acres by Acres Destiny to score 144 and 147 in the go-rounds of the Buffalo Ranch Australia Classic Challenge. They now more into the final and it is to be hoped add to Turpentine Acres' $44,190 life time earnings.

Tod Graham and Peter Ryan's Moore Little Peppy by Miel Little Peppy just made the final cut off in the Buffalo Ranch Australia Classic Challenge on a score of 284.5.

Gary Le Brocq from River Meadows NSW rode Docs Impact by Chucka So Smart to score 140 and 138 in the go-rounds of the Buffalo Ranch Australia Classic Challenge.

Tom Williamson rode One Moore Duck by One More Playboy to score 146 and 144 in the go-rounds and 146 in the final of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity. However, this had him in equal first place and a ride-off was required. After such a wonderful show Tom and One Moore Duck lost their cow in the ride off and they gracefully retired to take second place.

Mark Buttsworth rode Almora Spinacre by Acres Destiny to score 142 in the final of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity to take equal third place.

Billy Neville from Baerami NSW had two good go-round scores of 143.5 and 144 riding Mia Kat by Intricotalena. However, a lost beast in the final of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity saw them out of the money with a 122 score.

Brian Elliott from Nandaly Vic rode Duallin Fritz by Dually Cool to score 126 in the final of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

Ian Bush from Alpha Qld. rode Sharon Bush's Stylish Doll by Playin Stylish USA to score 128 in the final of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

One of the youngest riders over the NCHA Futuritys, Dan Want from Glen Innes rode One Moore Miinnie Mee to score 133 in the final of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

Geoff Schnitzerling from Stanthorpe Qld rode One Moore Gamble by One Moore Playboy to score 120 in the final of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity.

Peter Dunn from Alton Downs Qld rode Playin Artist by Playin Stylish USA to consistantly score 140 and 141 in the go rounds and 140 in the final of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity, to take fifth place.

Stuart Laurie from Beremboke Vic rode Smokin In Style by Playin To Style to score 135 in the final of the ANZ Non Pro Futurity and take sixth place.

Eighteen year old Jamie Creek rode in his last non pro event before turning proffessional next week. He took equal third place in the ANZ Non Pro Futurity riding Tassas Little Dee Jay by Tassa Lena to score 143.5 and 144 in the go-rounds and 142 in the final.

Sue Zerafa from Comet Qld., was in ninth place after the go rounds with scores of 133 and 142 and was the only woman in the Final of the ANZ Bank Non Pro Futurity. Riding Smart Little Jo by Tassa Lena, Sue keep the best to last and scored 146 in the Final, for equal first place. She drew the first position in the run-off and with the thought of the $20,000 first prize, was able to combine with Smart Little Jo to produce a 145 run and take home the money plus a saddle, boots and trophies.

Peter Shumack from Muswellbrook NSW and his wonderful imported stallion Racketeer Cat by Highbrow Cat have life time earnings of $63,320, and today they seemed very keen to add to that total. After go-round scores of 143 and 144 in the Tamworth Services Club Non pro Classic Challenge, they drew the first position in the final. Peter who is one of the smoothest riders in the business combined with his mount to produce the highest score of the show of 151, to win the class.

Peter Dunn from Alton Downs Qld rode Smartist by Smart Little Scotty, to score 140 in the final of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge to take equal fourth place.

"Mark Buttworth never comes to ride for second place". Today a 151 score was already on the board in the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge. So Mark and his Payboy Roy mare, Yugilbar O Peppy Roy came out "with all guns blazing", but a lost cow resulted in a score of 127. However, Mark and YB O Peppy Roy have a second chace in tomorrow's Buffalo Ranch Australia Classic Challenge Final.

2006 Non Pro Derby winner Tassa Gold Fever by Tassa Lena was ridden as always by Shane Crawford from Scottsdale Tasmania to enter the final of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge in sixth position. However, a lost beast resulted in a Final score of 124.

Ross Hicks from Woodville NSW partnered Pepto Bandido by Peptos Stylish Oak to score 137 in the final of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge.

Mark Eckermann from Penola SA rode Crackin Freckles by Docs Crackin Oak to score 142 in the final of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge to take third place.

Sue Williams from Red Range NSW drew out one of the toughest cows. However, her mount, Little Quick Chick by Chic Chexer was even more determined to keep it from the herd after it double barreled her. There efforts paid off with a 140 score in the final of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge; enough to take equal 4th place.

Peter Gray from Cootamundra NSW rode Iscottalittlepep by Smart Little Scotty to score 138 in the final of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge and take seventh place.

Lloyd Neilson from Kingaroy Qld rode Siena Spin by Docs Spinifex to score 132 in the final of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge.

Allan Spencer from Comet Qld joined forces with Plucka Duckling by Playboy Roy to score 140 in the final of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge and take equal fourth place.

Denise Ellis from Goondiwindi Qld rode Boons Sonita by Peptos Stylish Oak to score 134 in the final of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge.

Wayne Baumann from Werris Creek NSW rode the pregnant, Dee Bar Isa Blue by Lethal Lena to put together a great run in the final of the Tamworth Services Club Non Pro Classic Challenge. A score of 146 was enough to take second place before heading to the broodmare paddock next week.
