NCHA Cutting Futurity

At just 18,Jamie Creek is the youngest rider in the Futurity and today he put on a display equal to any of his older peers, scoring 145 after a 141 yesterday riding his own Tassas Little Dee Jay by Tassa Lena. They were in 10th place after the two qualifiers to erasily make it to the Final.

Jason Leitch did not have a good show with Liz Speeds impressive mare, Shorty Goldust by Winderadeen Get Shorty, however with a little more experience this will be a combination to watch.

John Howe from Emerald in North Qld produced a good run on Wendy Buckley's Mrs. Robinson by Freckles Toyboy, until a slight lack of concentration resulted in a lost beast and a score of 120 in the second round of the NCHA Futurity.

Corey Holden from Texas USA has a much better day in the second round of the NCHA Futurity, scoring 142 riding his own Doves Date With Destiny by Acres Destiny, however the 120 yesterday left them out of the final.

Robert Mackay and his mount Lookin Like Daddy by Dmac Daddy looked sensational at the start of their run in the second round of the NCHA Futurity. but a lost beast left them out of the final.

Graham Lamey from Bringelly NSW rode Jesman Park's, Daddys Little Dancer by the popular sire Dmac Daddy to score a 122 in the second round of the NCHA Futurity.

Bruce Holmes from Collector NSW rode the Winderadeen Corporations, Winderadeen Blacklabel Cat by Intricatolena to score 141 yesterday and 138 today in the second round of the NCHA Futurity.

Brook Hazlett from Yarrawonga Vic. rode his own Roundabout City by Docs Spin City to score 122 yesterday and 129 today in the second round of the NCHA Futurity.

Troy Randell from Lurg Vic. rode the nomination of Diamond K Quarter Horses, Whos Ya Daddy by Dmac Daddy to score 140 yesterday and 136 today in the second round of the NCHA Futurity.

Richard Webb retired D and C Wilkinson's promising mare Worth Her Salt by Spinning Cobra in the second round of the NCHA Futurity. The temperament and training of all these three year old Futurity horses is outstanding and many will only improve from their first outing.

The master of Cutting horses, Ian Francis from Mergon Qld rode Raelene Higgin's Oaks Unchained Melody by Tassa Lena to score 142 yesterday and 140 today in the second round of the NCHA Futurity.

Ian Bush from Alpha Qld rode Sharon Bush's Stylish Doll by Playin Stylish (USA) to take a place in next Sunday's final, after scoring 143 yesterday and 142 today in the second round of the NCHA Futurity.

Dean Jones from Seymour Vic. had a number of rides in the Futurity. Here he rides the nomination of Duloc Quarter Horses, Duloc Acerage by Acres Destiny to score 140 yesterday and 137 today in the second round of the NCHA Futurity.

Ian Merrick rode his own Dmac Daddy gelding, Dishonoured out of Chex in the Mail to score 136 in the second round of the NCHA Futurity.

Local rider Russ Benson rode the Yulgilbar QH Stud nomination Yulgilbar Senorita Girl by Playboy Roy to take a place in the final with scores of 142.5 and 144 in the go-rounds of the NCHA Futurity.

Graham Amos is a living ledgend in the sport of Cutting. An inductee into the NCHA Riders Hall of Fame (for riders with life time earnings over $500,000) in 1993, he joined forcesthhis year with Chance Lodge to ride the Freckles Fortissimo gelding Giovannis Simpatico. With scores of 145 and 146 in the go-rounds,they finished the two qyalifiers as the top qualifier and are one of the favorites for the $50,000 first prize in the final of the NCHA Fururity. Graham alsi finished second after the qualifiers riding Playin With Roses also with a total score of 291.

Denise MacCallum-Campey from Goornong narrowly missed the Futurity Final riding her imported mare Red Royal Boom by Peptoboomsmal (USA) scoring 142.5 and 139 in the go-rounds.However Denise in in the Final with Paddy's Irish Cream.

Dean Holden from Cobram in Victoria riding Sanrindo Bomalynx by Bomber Doc produced two good runs in the go-rounds of the NCHA Futurity scoring 142 and 137 and narowly missed out on a final place.

Les Buckingham from Dimbulah Qld riding Pokemon Brown by Highbrows Doctor did not have the best of luck in the go-rounds of the Futurity with scores of 123 and 122.

Unfortunately, Mitchell Butler riding Cliff and Marieka Wallace's Peta From Heaven by Peppy From Heaven (USA) were one of the many combinations that could not repeat their good score of 142 yesterday scoring only 127 today.

Steve Felton from Bendemeer NSW produced two consistant scores of 135 in the go-rounds of the Furturity riding Leading Edge Quarter Horses nomination, Starlight Peppy by Starlights Cowsmart.

Phil Dawson from Inverell NSW rode Max Turnbull's Naughty Little Nurse by High Brows Doctor to score 126 and 141 in the go-rounds of the NCHA Futurity.

Another one at short odds for the $50,000 first prize, Rob Hodgman and the Hodgman and McGregor nomination of EB'S Mainstreet by Docs Spin City with Futurity go-round scores of 145.5 and 143.

Michael Reynolds from Wagga Wagga rode A and R Jeffree's, Honey Suckle Rose by Special Oak to score 133 and 120 in the go-rounds of the NCHA Futurity.

Phil Dawson produced two consistant scores of 133 in the go-rounds of the NCHA Futurity riding Jodie and Craig Mearns Daddys Girl by Dmac Daddy.

Dean Bull is hoping for a better performance by the Acres Destiny mare, Stormy Destiny owned by Richard Bull at their next outting after a 0 score today.

Ross Hicks rode the Hicks Hay and Grain nomination Smart Hickory Doc by Smart Little Scotty to score 120 and 132 in the go-rounds of the NCHA Futurity.

Stephen Felton from Bendemeer in NSW rode his own Fox Tell by Docs Spin N Tell to score 135 and 131 in the go-rounds of the NCHA Futurity.

The Winderadeen Corporation's stallion, Winderadeen Short Play by Playin Stylish (USA) and ridden by Bruce Holmes from Collector NSW, looked very impressive but failed to score well on his debut outting in the go-rounds of the NCHA Futurity.
