Louise Doyle rode Alison Doyle's 'DP Ophelia' to second place in the Crane Trophy. In 2010 and this year the Crane Trophy for Mares Showing Thoroughbred Qualities and Suitable for Breeding Hacks has been restricted to horses 15-16hh, and not as has been tradition for many years, 14.2-15.2hh. There is talk that the Crane will be back to 14.2-15.2hh next year.

Angela Rodham from the Hunter Valley as always gave a superb exhibition of riding sidesaddle to win the class for Lady Rider Sidesaddle aboard her 'Skyview Trilogy'. Angela's expertise is not restricted to the side saddle, as she won the class for Lady Rider 21-40 Years and took out the Champion Lady Rider title at Sydney for the fourth occasion.
