2011 Melbourne Royal Show

A well decorated Shane Keir took out the Hackney or part Hackney Horse Championship driving the Kayboa Pty/Ltd's, 'Canberra Park Stepalong Mazera' Shane took out the coveted Mrs GBS Falkiner Memorial Sash (the Haddon Sash) that went with the Championship.

Matthew Marriott drove the Murroka Clydesdale Stud's super moving and super impressive gelding, 'Beereega Culross' (Bulwill Knockout/ Beereega Cameo) to win the class for Clydesdale Gelding/Mare Driven in a Two Wheeled Vehicle at Melbourne Royal.

Well know and successful National Harness exhibitor, Maryanne Pengelly from Tarneit in Victoria won the class for Lady's Harness Pony 12hh and Under with her delightful, 'Owendale Apricot' at Melbourne Royal 2011.

Elsie Chalmers from Beverford in Victoria drove her charming, 'Wyann Bounty' to take third place in the class for Lady's Harness Pony Under 12hh on the third day of the 2011 Royal Melbourne Show.

Andy Cusack is pictured driving the Holberton and Cusack nomination, 'Holbertons Rogue Trader', a mare by the wonderful Makari Vitality, to first place in the class for Hackney or Part Hackney Pony N.E. 12.2hh.

Glen Pate drove the always beautifully presented Carlton Clydesdale's, 'Valmont Avanti' (Hillside Legend/Valmont Fanfare) to third place in the strong class for Clydesdale Gelding/Mare Driven In A Lorry, the the Melbourne Royal Show.

Amelia Percy from Macarthur in Victoria drove her, 'Amana Park Morning Star' to third place in the class for Lady's Harness Pony 12 and Not Over 14hh.

Shiralee Patterson drove the Kayboa P/L nomination, 'Canberra Park Manhattan' to win the class for Lady's Harness Pony Over 12hh and Not Over 14hh at Melbourne Royal Show 2011.

Steve Peters has a sensational show with Doug Kefford's, 'Meadow Lane Jackson' (McMurchie Ramsay/Valmont Alexandra) that was declared Champion Clydesdale Driven in Long Reins and Champion Harness Clydesdale Mare/Gelding as well as Best Ridden Clydesdale, Jackson was shown in memory of Steve's father in law, the late Ron King who broke the horse in and was a very well know and respected horseman and long time Melbourne Royal Mounted Steward.

David Nash did the honours with Ashleigh Gorton's typey 'Mjay Forte' (Win D Fortitude/Mjay Arizona) that won the class for Australian Stock Horse Colt Three Years and Under and was declared Champion Led ASH Junior exhibit.

Stuart Robinson is pictured on the run with Jennifer Emanuel's, 'Cannibal Creek Weilma' (Beau Polo/Windra Gidgea) that won the Filly class and was declared Reserve Champion Australian Stock Horse Junior Exhibit.

Nicole Burgemeister from Stratford in Victoria rode Peter Cantwell's splendid, 'Kilfane Connor' to take second place in the class for Ridden Clydesdale.

Mrs l Scott from Strathfieldsaye in Victoria was one of the growing number of Ridden Clydesdale exhibitors. The Clydesdales and the Australian Stock Horse are the only two breeds to remain at the September Melbourne Royal. Mrs Scott is pictured aboard her, 'Louvale Sir Douglas'.

Always a beautiful and impressive sight. The AT Marriott and Son's team of Clydesdales, Pride, Prince Peter and Phillip' driven by Andrew Marriott, with Max Marriott on this occasion along for the ride. The team took out the Allan Marriott Memorial Perpetual Trophy awarded to the Best Harness Clydesdale Exhibit.

Michelle Wilton from Glendonbrook in NSW claimed the Reserve Champion Australian Stock Horse Mare Award with her, 'Royalle Scottish Rose' (Royalle Scotsman/Kendall Pattie)

Allan Wilton led the well performed, 'Taronga Billabong Bruce' (Arramlu/Commara Quail) to take second place in teh class for Australian Stock Horse Gelding 15hh and Under.

Emma South from Longwarry led her own and David Nash's well performed and typey gelding, 'Waymere Oaks Agent' to win the NE 15hh class and take out the Champion Australian Stock Horse Gelding award.

A busy Stuart Robinson was on the move again with Jennifer Emanuel's, 'Cannibal Creek William' (Beau Polo/Windra Gidgea) that won the class for ASH Gelding Over 15hh and was declared Reserve Champion Led Gelding.

I am told there was a time when you could buy bags of broken biscuits. This van reminds us of an age when packaging wasn't everything. Peter Allen drove Mrs T Butler's'Terra-Lyn Flash Annabelle' to win the class for Decorated Business Turnout.

Sam Davidge from Temora in NSW claimed the Australian Stock Horse Stallion/Colt Championship with her well performed Led and Ridden, 'Jindalee Casanova' (Betterview Gunfire/Rosebrook Cillawood).

Jody Rozynski from Granite Rock in Victoria won the Led ASH Mare 15hh and Under class and went on to take out the Australian Stock Horse Mare Championship and Supreme Led ASH Exhibit award with her own and husband Graeme's beautiful and oh so functional, 'Roxby Park Kambala'. The mare won the Supreme Award three years ago as a filly. Pictured L-R, judge, Paul Vary, Jody, and Jason Fry representing the Victoraian ASHS Management Group.

Well know Harness judge and on this occasion, Harness steward, John Mullinger is clearly enjoying his time at the 2011 Royal Melbourne Show.

Regular Melbourne visitor, Warren Barlow from Bowral in NSW is pictured driving Mr R Barlow's, 'Dunolly Nicoli' (Dunolly Nickolby/Dunolly Neana) to be declared Champion Hackney or Part Hackney Pony and Supreme Champion Harness Pony Under 14hh.

Wendy Ragg from Mittagong in NSW is a dedicated Harness exhibitor. She is pictured with the Ragg and Proctor Show Team's delightful, 'Glenwood Show Off' that was declared Champion Harness Pony 12hh and Under.

Melbourne Royal would not be the same without Kerrie Barlow and her wonderful grey ponies. Kerrie is pictured with the delightful and successful, 'Riverlodge Vanity's Hero' that was declared Champion Harness Pony Over 12hh and Not Exceeding 14hh.

Robyn Allison-Woods is pictured driving the Ashwood Hackney Stud's, 'Ashwood Exhileration' to second place in the class for Hackney or Part Hackney Pony N.E 12.2hh Driven in Single Harness.

Ashleigh Allison-Woods from Mururrindi in NSW won the class for Hackney or Part Hackney Over 15hh driving the Ashwood Hackney Stud's, 'Ashwood Wilga'.
