2011 Melbourne Royal Show

Brook Dobbin from Yarra Glen has had a super show with his two youngsters in Part 3. Brook is pictured with his Premier des Hayettes gelding, 'Glenwood Park Premier Dollars' that was fifth in the Part 3 Table C this morning and on the strength of his performance in this section, was declared Best Performed Part 3 Horse. On Tuesday evening Brook closed the show with a winning performance in the prestigious Prince of Wales Cup riding his Advisor.

Alexandra Nairn looks very pleased to have won the Smartest On Parade Class for Boys and Girls Under 12 Years, riding her 'Haddon Park Sundance'

The wonderful, 'Silkwood Angel Wings' carried Claudia McCormick to fourth place , with some help from mum, Sarah McCormick in the Leading Rein Pony class for Ponies 12hh and Under and Riders 3-7 Years. Later in the day with Holly Lewis in the saddle the outstanding and super successful show pony was declared Champion Small Pony. It is still a case with Angel, that if you've got it flaunt it.

A fast growing, Tahlia Young is pictured riding, the Riemer girls successful, 'Radford Lodge Candy Cane' to victory in the leading Rein Pony class. Nicole Riemer was on hand to oversee the successful operation.

Phoebe Sutton-Kuros looks quietly delighted as she poses for this photograph, having just ridden the Riemer girls' 'Reigal Penny Lane' to third place in the leading Rein Pony class.

Renae Fowler from Kembla Grange in NSW rode her Victorian bred pony, 'Leanda Hello There' to measure up and take sixth place in eh class for Open Show Pony 13.2-14hh.

Chanele Hunter took the last minute ride on Briony Payne's , 'Mirinda Odyssey' to take fifth place in the class for Open Show Pony 13.2-14hh. Briony had a nasty fall whilst working on the arena early yesterday morning. She was rushed to hospital with suspect serious back injuries, but thankfully she was back at the show today, albeit watching from the stands.

Despite her youth, Laura Show has been showing at Melbourne Royal Show for many years. She is pictured riding her, 'After Midnight of Astral' that took fourth place in the class for Open Show Pony 13.2-14hh.

A busy Sally Shaw rode her well performed, 'Holly's Star Attraction ' to second place in the class for Open Show Pony 13-13.2hh.

Claudia pavia from Picton in NSW is pictured working out in the class for Open Show Pony 13-13.2hh riding the Pavia Family's, good working, 'Harrington Park Timeless Dreams'.

Lynda Hayes had a successful morning in the Open Pony ring. She won the Open 13.2-14hh with her 'Kolbeach Chance' that went on to be declared Champion Large Pony, and Lynda took out the Open 13-13.2hh class riding her own and Carmen Nowak's successful, 'Kolbeach Aster' (pictured).

Marcia Beard from the Western District rode her own and Charlotte Scott's lovely, 'Tallyrand Something Special' to win the class for Open Show Pony 12.2-13hh.

Charlotte Oberin rode Christine Knox Morgan and Rossanne Mason's , 'Kolbeach Alert' to second place in the class for Open Show Pony 12.2-13hh.

The Lee girls have had a great show and Tamara is pictured riding Ashlyn Sorraghan's , 'Torrensway Carnival' to fifth place in the class for Open Show Pony 12.2-13hh.

Abby Heffer from Wallan rode Hailey Gears' Best Novice Pony, 'Falconhurst Pussy Galore' to second place in the class for Open Show Pony 12-12.2hh on the beautiful last day of the 2011 Melbourne Royal Show

Madeline Pagon from Willunga in South Australia rode Lynda Hayes' 'Fairlight Acres Jackson' to second place in the class for Open Pony 11.2hh and Under.

Brynie Lee rode Jacqui McGregor-Thomas', 'Powy's Heavenly Bliss' to win the class for Open Show Pony 11.2hh and Under.

Russell Johnstone from Whittlesea in Victoria had a successful show with his Collins gelding, 'Borealis Centurion' and took third place in the Mini Prix on the beautiful last day of the 2011 Royal Melbourne Show.

Melissa Froesch from Broadford in Victoria is pictured riding her home bred, 'Glenara Bollinger' by Warlord II during the Mini Prix competition for non World Cup Horses. They were just out of the top five placings.

Clem Smith from Gatton in Queensland has kept his best until last. He won the Part 1 class last night riding, 'Dark Ages', won the Part 3 Table C aboard his 'Guru' (pictured) by Belcam Gambler and won the Mini Prix riding his impressive imported German mare, 'Florina'.

Delta Wardle did a beautiful job with the Cameron's, 'Otway View Xena' to win the class for Shetland Pony Ridden by a Boy/Girl Under 10 Years.

Riley Baker rode Carolyn Bellman's very well performed, 'Thorpeville Trendy' to win the class for Ridden Shetland 10 and not over 10.2hh and claim the Ridden Shetland Pony Championship.

Kara Woolcock rode her charming and good working, 'Pilinta Park Sterling' to take out the Reserve Champion Ridden Shetland Pony award.

Stephen Dingwall from the ACT rode his talented and typey, 'Cavalier Bryn', by Rotspon to take fourth place in the Mini Prix class on the last day of the 2011 Royal Melbourne Show.

Vienna Smith from Grassmere in Victoria rode Fiona McIntyre's well performed and delightful, 'Roseagle Maestro' to third place in the class for Child's Pony N.E 12.2hh.

Morgan Maud from Bendigo rode her, 'Aspen Way Amazing Grace' to take sixth place in the class for Child's Pony Hack 12.2-14hh.

Rachelle O'Connor rode Sally Crowder's, 'Highgrove Firefly' to fourth place in the class for Child's Pony 12.2-14hh.
