Elly Rodgers from Moorooduc rode her 'SLM Dirty Talk' to win the delayed class for Novice Hack 15-15.2hh. All the Novice Hack classes due to be judges yesterday afternoon were postponed as the entire show was shut down at pm due to the horrendous weather. The classes were slotted in today with the arena divided in to three rings which worked well and got the schedule up to date. Early in the day Elly was one of the Garryowen first timers.
Paula Heffernan from Coldstream in Victoria rode her, 'Gold Secrets' to sixth place in the class for Novice Hack 15-15.2hh on the cold and rainy sixth day of the 2011 Royal Melbourne Show.
Cecil Thomas and his daughter Carly from Clarkefield in Victoria have been exhibiting at the Royal Melbourne Show for many year, as indeed have the Thomas family. Carly is pictured riding her own and Cecil's, 'Criteria' to fifth place in the class for novice hack 15-15.2hh.
It was not the best day for all the prestigious Melbourne Royal turnout classes, but the show went on. Sophie Fox was delighted to claim the J Pemberton Equestrian Turnout class for Girls and Boys 12-15. (There were no boys who have been added to the programme for political correctness).

Rebecca Dick from Lower Plenty in Victoria rode her eye catching, 'Exclusively Mine' to third place in the class for Novice Hack 16=16.2hh.
Natalie McKay from Berwick rode her elegant, 'Black Knight' by Rustic Amber to take second place in the class for Novice Hack Over 16.2hh.
Emily Hoare from Lewiston in South Australia rode her promising, 'Khamsin Rose' to win the class for Novice Hack Over 16.2hh.
With the twilight and the rain approaching, Greg Mickan rode Janelle Sloane's 'Divine Victoree' by Deveron Duvall to win eh class for Novice Hack 16-16.2hh and claim the best Novice Hack award.
