2011 Melbourne Royal Show

Birthday girl, Ella O'Dougherty, (six today) rode the O'Hagen and Robinson nomination,'Jenssel Park Bronson' with some help from Mum, Lauren, to take sixth place in the class for Shetland Pony Turnout Riders 4-7 Years.

Although Cassidy Fry was keen to "get out of these clothes and go on the rides", he seemed to he having fun with his grandmother, Marilyn Fry and 'Blackwood Tudor Rose', all on their way to second place in the Shetland Turnout class for Riders 4-7 Years.

A very accomplished threesome. Nicole Riemer led Carolyn Bellman's, 'Thorpeville Trendy' with Talhia Young doing to riding to take out the class for Shetland Turnout Riders 4-7 Years. All the junior turnout classes were supported by Stan Fear in memory of the late Norma Fear, who contributed so much to the equestrian world in Victoria.

Grace Perkins rode Andrew Cocker and Meagan Jones' 'Lorabella Melinda' to third place in the class for Shetland Turnout Riders 8-10 Years.

The Lee girls from Eden Park are having a great 2011 Royal Melbourne Show. Ebonie Lee is pictured riding Kara Woolcock's, 'Pilinta Park Sterling' to second place in the Shetland Turnout Riders 8-10.

Carly Thomas rode her own and father, Cecil Thomas', 'Careal Tigerlily' to win the class for Novice Pony Hack 13-14hh.

Kartelyn Ajani rode Hailey Gears' 'Falconhurst Pussy Galore' to win the class for Novice Pony Hack 12-13hh and claim the Best Novice Pony award.

Well known showing rider, Tahlia Bird rode B Young's, 'Fairlight Acres Milley' to win the class for Novice Pony Hack 12hh and Under.

Delta Wardle looks very pleased to have won the Shetland Turnout class for Riders 8-10 Years. Delta rode L and G Cameron's, 'Otway View Xena.

Jodie Lumsden is pictured on the run with Phoebe Kuros riding Edwina Lumsden's well preformed, 'Tjuringa Digby' to second place in the Pony Turnout 12hh and Under, Riders 4-6 Years.

Linley Arnold-Wardle is pictured on the move with her 'Merivale Park Toy Soldier', with Tayte Wardle who has given up the life of a sailor, to win the Pony Turnout 12hh and Under, Riders 4-6.

This glamorous threesome represent the future of showing judging. All three were and are successful riders and have competed at Melbourne Royal Show since they were very small children. Now giving something back to the sport, they were judging and stewarding the Junior Turnout classes this morning. L-R Dimity Erickson (judge), Amy Cleland, (steward) and Adele Gardner, (judge).

Daizi Plumb put in another polished performance riding her own and the Bamborough Pony Stud's, 'Bamborough Special Girl' to win the Pony Turnout 12.2hh and Under, Riders 7-9 Years. Later in the day, Daizi rode Special girl to win the class for Open Show Hunter Pony 12hh and Under.

Kaitlin Lehahn-Meyland rode her well performed, 'Owendale Mr Perkins' to fifth place in the strong class for Pony Turnout 12,2hh and Under, Riders 7-9 Years.

Danielle Butcher is having a good show with her, 'Twins Zenith' that is pictured on its way to fifth place in the strong Part 3 jump off class today.

Successful Melbourne Royal exhibitor, Trudy Merlo is pictured riding her own, 'Rob Roy Bon Bon' to second place in the class for Novice Show Hunter 12.2hh and Under.

Isabella Panozzo from Mandurang in Victoria rode her mother, Julia Panozzo's charming and beautifully working, 'Heritage Park Chartreuse' to take fourth place in the class for Open Show Hunter Pony 13.2-14hh.

Jess Stalling had a busy morning racing from the Show Hunter ring to the Showjumping ring. She was as always stylish in both, but her Showjumping round aboard her, 'JS Virtina Z' in Part 3 wins the style prize.

Andrew Lamb has had a very successful show with his pair of Part 3 horses. He is pictured on his way to third place in the class this morning riding his 'CP Argento' that is by Vivant out of CP Argentina.

Nicole Riemer rode her sister Danyel's delightful, 'Braefoot Park Hillsong' to win the class for Novice Show Hunter 12.2-14hh and went on to claim the Best Novice Show Hunter Pony Award.

Brandon Douglas rode the Douglas Family's very well performed, 'Wingana Loving Cup' to win the class for Open Show Hunter Pony 13.2-14hh.

David Dobson rode Stephanie Tucker's 'Oaks Zena' by Warlord II to take third place in the final Part 2 class of the show. Zena has jumped well all show and was declared Most Successful Part 2 Horse.

Tiffany Greenhill from the Mornington Peninsular in Victoria rode her charming, 'Glyndbourne Monopoly' to take second place in the class for Open Show Hunter Pony 13-13.2hh.

Samantha Richardson is better known in the showjumping ring these days, however she stepped aboard Marilyn Fry's well performed , 'Kirreway Beaumont' to win the class for Open Show Hunter Pony 13-13.2hh.

David Boulton from Seaspray in Gippsland is a regular competitor at the Royal Melbourne Show. David is pictured making a stylish jump aboard his 'Special K' during the Part 2 class this afternoon.

Andrew Inglis certainly likes big horses; big and good. His is pictured riding his own and Tom Smith's 'Inishowen Casper' in the final Part 2 class of the show this afternoon.

Kristy Bruhn from Mt Gambier makes a big effort with her Thoroughbred, 'Jack' on their way to fourth place in the Part 2 class this afternoon.

Vicki Roycroft is in a beautiful position as she gallops to the finish line to win the last Part 2 class of the 2011 Melbourne Royal Show riding 'Welsome'.

Vienna Smith rode Norma Hollibone's very well performed, 'Barina Endeavour' to win the class for Open Show Hunter Pony 12.2-13hh.

Alexandra Nairn from Connewarre in Victoria is pictured riding her 'Haddon Park Sundance' to second place in the class for Open Show Hunter Pony 12.2-13hh.

We did not need any persuasion as to the talent of Steven Hill's jumper, 'Kelstar', but if any one questioned our opinion we need just show them this photograph. Steven and 'Kelstar' took second place, just, in final part 2 class of the 2011 Royal Melbourne Show.

Tori Fair has formed a good partnership with Danyel Riemer's, 'Brandy Hollow Candy Man' that won the class for Open Show Hunter Pony 12-12.2hh.

Melissa Pryor from Coonawarra in SA rode her 'Storm Haven X Man' to second place in the class for Open Show Hunter Pony 12-12.2hh.
