The magnificent Fosters Australia Team, driven by Richard Geldard, with Ray Mitchell catching, won the class for Four Wheeled Turnout Team of Four Horses.
Ross and Miriam Carbery's magnificent team of Percherons, 'Carbery Estate Masterflame', 'CE Quicksilver', 'CE Pete' and 'CE Quicksand', driven by Ross with Brock Houlahan, both in company livery, took second place in the Four Wheeled Turnout Team of Four Horses. An enormous amount of work goes in to exhibiting these magnificent animals and they are a sight not to be missed at the show.
Paul Athanasoff jumped a super double clear, one of only two in the class, with his and Charlie Hooke's talented stallion, 'Wirragulla Nicklaus', to take second place in the Equestrian Australia Cup.
Laurie Lever's Olympic Team horse, 'Ashleigh Drossel Dan' would have been at short odds to win the Equestrian Australia (formerly EFA ) Cup today. It was not a day for outsiders as 'Dan' made it all look pretty easy for a double clear and victory. On the strength of this victory and other Section 1 performances, 'Dan' was named Champion Section 1 Horse.
Colleen Brook jumped a super clear and four riding Peter Carcary's Thoroughbred, 'Poet's Corner' to take fifth place in the Equestrian Australia Cup this afternoon. Yesterday evening, Colleen rode 'Poet's Corner' to win the prestigious Bob Chittick Memorial Perpetual Cup presented to the winner of the Section Table C class.
Chris Chugg and 'Vivant' were also a popular choice to win the Equestrian Australia Cup and they almost did. They clockes the fastes time in the jump off, but one down saw them finish in third place.
